The all-new, third generation Cayenne is here for the 2019 model year and Porsche again puts the emphasis to the performance but it’s overall better performer, sleeker, more comfortable and better equipped than the version it replaces. The new Cayenne can carry five people and plenty of cargo and do that fast and safe. The model arrives in three trims, the base, S and Turbo. All versions have turbocharged engines but the number of turbocharges depends on your choice. If you want the most potent version, be ready to pay more but you will also get more with the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo.
2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo: Performance
If you want your new Cayenne with the Turbo plate, these days Turbo with the big T doesn’t mean single turbo yet you get a twin-turbocharged engine. All new Cayennes have at least one turbocharger but the 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo has two. Although the S version also has the twin-turbo engine, the 2.9-liter unit generates 340 hp and 332 pound-feet, which is impressive, but a 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V-8 has more ponies in the staple. To be precise 110 ponies more while torque hits 567 lb-ft.
With the standard eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive, this translates to 60 mph in just 3.9 seconds. The top speed is at 177 mph. If you want a slightly better score, with the optional Sport Chrono Package, Porsche will deliver it in 3.7 seconds.
The Cayenne Turbo rides on the shorter variant of Audi’s MLB platform and uses new three-chamber air suspension with active dumpers. Adding to Cayenne Turbo’s performance are also a rear axle steering, upgraded torque vectoring, active roll stabilization system and of course upgraded braking system with cast-iron rotors.
2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo: Styling
The redesigned Porsche Cayenne isn’t much different from the previous version. The model is slightly longer and the shape is familiar but the evolutionary styling is more gracious. The 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo adds to that with the unique front fascia and special wheels. The front side includes quad-cluster headlights while the taillights are connected with the light bar.
The Cayenne Turbo also has special 21-inch wheels with 285/40ZR-21 front tires and 315/35ZR-21 on the rear axle. The PSCB brakes also look nice behind the wheels’ spokes and model also uses the active spoiler with the brake mode.
Inside the cabin, the new Cayenne has Panamera inspired design. A 12.4-inch center touchscreen fits nice to the horizontal dash orientation and the instrument cluster includes two 7-inch displays and the middle traditional tachometer.
The heated sports steering wheel is in the front of the driver. The model also has leather and heated front and rear seats. The front bucket seats provide great body support and have 18-way power functionality.

An impressive 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will hit the showrooms in autumn this year. Be ready to pay $125, 650 for the 4.0-liter twin-turbo and other upgrades on the Turbo version.
