2019 Mitsubishi Outlander: News, Upgrades, Price

The Mitsubishi Outlander is stylish compact crossover SUV, available with three rows of sits and all-wheel drive in all trim options. Mitsubishi redesigned this model for the 2014 model year but also updated it for the 2016 version. The 2018 Outlander offers upgraded infotainment system and active safety systems are available on more trims. What is also important, Mitsubishi has also brought the plug-in hybrid version in the US for the 2018 model year.

On the other hand, according to the latest reports, Nissan/Mitsubishi alliance will launch the new-generation Outlander latter than it was initially expected. The new-generation was expected in late 2018 or early 2019 but latest updates suggest the new version in late 2019 or early 2020. So, the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander won’t introduce radical changes. The carmaker will update some tech features and make some changes in equipment organization. The price should also be in similar range.

2019 Mitsubishi Outlander: Design

The Outlander is nice-looking crossover and what makes Mitsubishi’s models unique on the road is the “Dynamic Shield” front fascia. Mitsubishi’s updated styling of the Outlander for the 2016 model year and the 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander won’t change in that regard.

The model has plenty of chrome up front but also shiny moldings on the profile and rear make it look upscale. The lines on the model are well-balanced and floating between sporty and elegant. The rear also looks nice including model’s taillights and nicely sculpted rear bumper.

Interior, Equipment:

Inside the Outlander won’t also change much from the current form. The model offers enough room for adults in the front and middle row while the rear seats should be used for children.

The material quality in the cabin isn’t in the class top but the trim is appearing and plenty of desirable features are available in the base version. The base Outlander will include a 7-inch touchscreen, voice controls, LED running lights, dual-zone climate control, etc.

Upper trims will bring aesthetic upgrades, leather upholstery, heating seats, Rockford Fosgate sound system, more advanced safety systems, etc. The model will be equipped with adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and emergency braking, surround-view cameras, etc. We expect these safety systems available in lower trims for the 2019 version.
