The Expedition-based full-size SUV with the upscale interior and huge power, the Lincoln Navigator arrived as the all-new version for the 2018 model year. The newest Navigator has polished aluminum body panels and top-notch treatment inside. However, the model also has more power from the turbocharged V-6 engine at its disposal while in same time weights less. The redesigned Navigator starts from 72, 000 and comes in four trim options.
The 2019 Lincoln Navigator comes just a year after the full redesign and won’t, of course, bring any notable change inside and out. The same powertrain will power this model as well. However, what could make the difference is the hybrid version. Ford promised the Expedition hybrid by 2019 and its twin the Navigator should also offer a more fuel-efficient version.
2019 Lincoln Navigator: Styling
From the exterior perspective, the 2019 Lincoln Navigator won’t change the actual form and Lincoln might offer new color options as well as new exterior theme.
The recent redesign brought new, fresh and appealing look. The model has sleek aluminum panels combined with the modern LED headlights and sleek grille. The hood has subtle creases and horizontal character line connects headlights and taillights.
Underneath the sleek skin is Ford’s T3 platform that also underpins the Expedition SUV and F-150 truck. The model is about 200 pounds lighter thanks to the aluminum-intensive body structure.
Inside, the Navigator will also return in the same form. Top quality materials will cover all surfaces and plenty of space will be available for passengers and their cargo. Even the base version will have LED headlights, three-zone automatic climate control, leather upholstery, power front seats and pedals, power folding middle and rear seats, etc. The base equipment will also cover 10-inch touchscreen based Sync 3 infotainment system, navigation, voice control, 14 speakers, etc.
Upper trims will bring larger 22-inch wheels, upgraded upholstery, 24-way power front seats, unique trim accents inside and out, more advanced safety systems and much more.
2019 Lincoln Navigator: Powertrain
Under the hood of the 2019 Lincoln Navigator will be a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V-6 engine. In this application, the engine produces 450 hp and 500 lb-ft of torque. The power combo will also include a 10-speed automatic transmission and will provide great towing capability and performance. The model will also offer standard rear-wheel and all-wheel drive. Available will also be the adaptive suspension dampers.
As for the hybridized version, it will likely get the transmission with integrated electric motor and belt-starter generator. The regenerative braking will also improve efficiency while the system would provide low-speed all-electric drive. Expected fuel efficiency should be better for about 10 percent.
2019 Lincoln Navigator: Arrival, Price
The new 2019 Lincoln Navigator will likely arrive in late 2018 or early 2019. The price will again start at around $73k.
