The 2019 Dodge Durango continues with the same engine options. The base engine 3.6-liter V-6 is under the hood of the SXT, GT and Citadels versions. The R/T switches to the 5.7-liter V-8 as the default engine and SRT has a more powerful 6.4-liter V-8.
The base 3.6-liter V-6 engine makes 293 hp and torque of 260 pound-feet. All Durangos are with the 8-speed automatic gearbox and the V-6 powered version with the four-wheel drive can tow up to 5, 000 pounds.
The 5.7-liter V-8 delivers 360 hp and torque of 390 lb-ft. Model with this engine improves the towing to 7, 400 pounds. The SRT makes 60 mph in 4.4 seconds with the 6.4-liter V-8 engine and performance underpinning. This engine pumps 475 horsepower and torque of 470 pound-feet. It lifts the tow rating to 8, 700 pounds.
